Adam and Jason took their cars to the track the other day.. They both had their cars in the elevens. Adams car isn’t even tuned yet.. It was a fun night I took some good video but until I get a laptop I won’t have it posted. Expect to see some gnarly burn out videos by next weekend or sooner!
For a second I was worried I wouldn’t have enough cars to shoot for magazines this summer. As it turns out I might have to many. Now the problem is who do I help get featured. I really only have so much say in all of this. I can say, “hey there is X car and it’s awesome and so is the owner.” Ultimately – it’s not my decision.
But I honestly want to shoot the cars still and they are my friends or friends of friends. So, I’m considering making a
blog like stanceworks/canibeat.. So, we can give people a chance to see what Ohio has. Who knows.
We’ll see. FUCK BITCHES GET MONEY
Supra indeed. Jamie has been involved in the car scene for a while.
When I originally met him he had an S4. Then he bought the gnarly black Supra(circa 2004) pictured below.
I think when he bought his first supra it came with a fever. A fever that needed more horsepower.
As if ~900hp on the street wasn’t enough he decided to make a Supra for the drag strip.
Unfortunately the first black supra in these pics was sold a few times then wrecked.

I like the way these dudes do things.

Sometimes when I’m bored I’ll look up old car commercials on YouTube. Car commercials today just don’t have what it takes to sell cars when compared with these hot gems.
1991 Miata
“a ragtop, a two-seater, a true roadster…”
“RIIIIIIDE, PONTIAC RIIIIIIIDE!”
“TAKE A CURVE, GRAB A GEAR, RUN IT STRONG, FREEDOM’S HERE!!!”
this thing is bouncing like it’s slammed!
my god.
drooling.
absolutely love this one.
There are a bunch of re-occurring themes I see in forum posts. I see one trend every so often – mostly in for sale threads. People will post there wears and have a “Gettin’ out of the game sale”. It has always been a pet peeve of mine that people refer to this hobby as a “Game”. A game is something that comes in a box from toys r us. A game something you play on a computer or console. Building cars and driving cars isn’t a game. You can’t save or restart. There are no cheat codes.
This is real life. Building cars (the right way) is seldom cheap. And driving like an idiot has real-life consequences. I guess if you drive a piece of shit it is hard to take it seriously. Truthfully I am not a serious person. At all. But this is something I feel like you should have a certain amount of pride in your car. Your hard work. Your money. So, if you want to call it a ‘game’, I understand. It must be hard to have any pride in a pink crx with e-bay parts. These are the same people who think the scene is dying out.
That’s a whole new batch of fail right there. The scene isn’t dying. With all the continued innovation and development going on AMIDST A RECESSION- how are you going tell me the scene is dying? If anything the weak are dying out. The movers, shakers, innovators, and people who live for the hobby are still doing work. Still changing it up. Some are going harder than ever. If the nay sayers would venture out beyond their city limits and went to some events – they would have more of a clue. Import Alliance was huge and they are adding events. Oh- but you didn’t go to that event because you spent all your money on affliction t-shirts and ebay parts… My bad.

If you want to witness two record setting FWD drag cars, you better make sure you are at Palm Beach International Raceway on Saturday, December 5th 2009. For the first time in sport c
ompact drag racing history, Palo and his T1 Race Development Integra will line up against Miller and his NRG Tech Racing Civic. The NSCRA has been working hard in making this dream a reality and it will be seen only at Palm Beach International Raceway at the NSCRA’s Season Finale. So make sure you head on over to our final event for the 2009 season to not only witness the world’s fastest sport compacts battling it out for the grand prize, but to see two record setting, innovating FWD racers that continue to support the sport to the fullest. “Honda-tech”

It is getting closer to winter. The artic hell. Strangely, my friend Branden, hates summer.. He is a snow boarder after all but since I’m from North East Ohio- I do not curse summer. I’d be afraid summer would never come back. The thing is- My integra is a Texas car (so loverly) and I don’t want to taint her with the DREADED ROAD SALT OF DEATH AND DOOM TO ALL THINGS METAL..
So, I’m kinda convinced I want to get an Accord Wagon. Later nineties.. Hopefully from southern ohio so Its clean.. Then later on air bag it and keep it as a daily.
However, I am itching to put a K-series in my integra and that is going to be alot of cashola. Hmm.
We’ll see. With this economy- who knows- I might put off k swaps and accords completely..
So it goes.
