I stopped by the shop for the first time in a while. I was pumped to see rob brought a vending machine to the garage. No doubt it will be filled with beer or ghetto soda pop.
Adam also got the hatch tuned with his new setup. He’s making well over 600hp with the injectors maxed out. It will be awesome to see what he’s making with bigger squirts! He’s a fucking mad man.
I’m also throwing a pic in of steves fourdoor. Just because it looks so clean.
Tomorrow morning (this morning technically) I’m going to do a photo shoot of an insane ek coupe. 700+hp on a stock kseries long block. Wish me luck.
Hey everyone that reads this(all two of you),
I apologize for not coming through with the video action. Life and work have gotten sort of crazy. As soon as I get that video edited I will let the world know.
Holla.
Adam and Jason took their cars to the track the other day.. They both had their cars in the elevens. Adams car isn’t even tuned yet.. It was a fun night I took some good video but until I get a laptop I won’t have it posted. Expect to see some gnarly burn out videos by next weekend or sooner!
This is posted out of order but it deserves some attention. Here is a random chill session at the garage. Adam’s Green EG is getting put together. This weekend it’s supposed to be tuned at SlowMotion Motorsports in Sunbury, Ohio. He has a very important date on Sunday with some DSM and Evos. Hopefully the tuning will go well and he’ll make some good passes. Mad respect homie.
Cali Steve’s EK is getting there. He’s got a long road ahead but it’s come along way. Pace’s car was on the ground for winemixer which gets me excited. I need to get my shit together too.

There is a method to the madness.. “How did it get the name ‘Catalina Wine Mixer’?” Last year, Adam and I, talked about doing something for the spring. Geared towards cars and such. The hope was Adam would have his car done and so would other people. We new we wanted to have a meet and we new it was going to be in Late may.. I did not know what to call it. Adam said, ‘We’ll call it the catalina winemixer – from step brothers.’ I was instantly sold.
This is the second Wine mixer. It was a blast. Thank you to everyone that came and contributed.
For a second I was worried I wouldn’t have enough cars to shoot for magazines this summer. As it turns out I might have to many. Now the problem is who do I help get featured. I really only have so much say in all of this. I can say, “hey there is X car and it’s awesome and so is the owner.” Ultimately – it’s not my decision.
But I honestly want to shoot the cars still and they are my friends or friends of friends. So, I’m considering making a
blog like stanceworks/canibeat.. So, we can give people a chance to see what Ohio has. Who knows.
We’ll see. FUCK BITCHES GET MONEY
I heard through the grapevine that two of the popular car mags are struggling. It’s not surprising to most. Import Tuner and MODIFIED magazine look like they might be going on the chopping block – possibly one of them.
Ad Sales are down. The other day a friend of mine who shoots for SUPERSTREET made a comment to me, “They need to combine Import Tuner and SuperStreet – Make it SUPERTUNERSTREET or something.”
It’s no secret that the Car Magazine industry is dominated by SOURCE INTERLINK. It is easier to tell you the two magazines that SI doesn’t own.. S3 magazine and D-Sport. The problem for source interlink is there is tons of over head for their magazines and there are other places to advertise now. In the nineties / before all this social media – people were knocking down the door to advertise in magazines because so many people read them. Now you can pay a forum to advertise on their site and create a blog. Join twitter and facebook for FREE and promote your company.
Even though it might help the two independent magazines out there no one wants to see them go under. That means some people are going to lose their jobs and no one wants that.
AND
The other thing is content is getting hard to find without it being over fucking exposed. People have seen a car on forums and blogs 100 times. If you post photos on Honda-Tech and they bounce around to other forums – next thing you know 1,500 people have seen that car already.
It really kills the editors when they hear, “I saw that on so and so’s site.”
Blah. Stay Hungry.

Supra indeed. Jamie has been involved in the car scene for a while.
When I originally met him he had an S4. Then he bought the gnarly black Supra(circa 2004) pictured below.
I think when he bought his first supra it came with a fever. A fever that needed more horsepower.
As if ~900hp on the street wasn’t enough he decided to make a Supra for the drag strip.
Unfortunately the first black supra in these pics was sold a few times then wrecked.
